Mother of 4 Growing Boys, Licensed Therapist, Author of the Nationally Recognized Book, For the Sake of Our Youth: A Therapist's Perspective on Raising Your Family in Today's Culture, and Award Winning Speaker

Dear Exhausted Parent, Concerned Caregiver and Everyone in between...

Hi, I’m Tessa Stuckey — licensed therapist, parenting coach, speaker, author, and most importantly, a mom of four.

When I began my work as a therapist in 2015, I was already feeling deeply unsettled — not just as a professional, but as a mother trying to raise children in an increasingly digital world. I sat with families every day, listening to heartbreaking stories of anxiety, depression, disconnection, and emotional overwhelm. And I started noticing a pattern I couldn’t ignore: screens and social media were quietly, but powerfully, reshaping our kids’ mental health.

At first, I felt perplexed. Then, I felt driven.

I began researching, asking deeper questions, and working closely with families to better understand what was happening. Over time, I developed practical strategies to help parents reclaim connection at home, set healthy boundaries with tech, and guide their kids toward resilience in a culture that pushes constant comparison and instant gratification.

That’s when the mission behind Project LookUp began — quietly at first, one conversation at a time.

By 2023, it became something bigger: an official organization dedicated to helping families rise above the noise, rebuild connection, and raise resilient kids in today’s screen-saturated culture. In

LookUp is a platform to educate, equip, and encourage families to rise above the harms of our screen-saturated world. Now, as we move forward under our new name — Project LookUp — our vision remains just as clear and even more energized.

This project is about looking up — from our screens, toward each other, and into a future where technology supports our well-being rather than stealing it.

My call to action is simple but powerful:

Let’s take back childhood.
Let’s protect mental health.
Let’s model what real connection looks like.
Let’s be intentional with the tools we bring into our homes.
Let’s help our kids live real, full, meaningful lives.

Thank you for being here — whether you’re a concerned parent, a fellow professional, a curious teen, or someone simply wondering how we got here. I invite you to explore, connect, and join the movement.

With heart and purpose,
